Fly a single-engine aircraft (Cessna 150-172, Piper PA28, etc.) or ultralight aircraft as pilot-in-command in visual flight conditions (VFR – Visual Flight Rules) day and night that can carry a maximum of 9 passengers. A private pilot licence holder, unlike a commercial pilot licence holder, may not receive remuneration for his or her services.


Minimum hours of training according to Transport Canada:
45 hours of flight.
40 hours of theory.
17 years old minimum
